एमपी: भारतीय मॉडल के लिए पात्रता मानदंड, जिम्मेदारियां आदि।

संसद के सदस्य या सांसद किसी देश की विधान सभा में लोगों के प्रतिनिधि होते हैं। सामान्य तौर पर, सांसदों का चुनाव विभिन्न देशों द्वारा या तो फर्स्ट पास्ट पोस्ट सिस्टम का पालन करके या आनुपातिक प्रतिनिधि प्रणाली का पालन करके किया जाता है। यह लेख विशेष रूप से भारतीय लोकसभा के सांसदों पर चर्चा करेगा।

लोकसभा में सांसद (संसद का भारतीय निचला सदन)।

लोकसभा में सांसदों को सीधे सार्वभौमिक वयस्क मताधिकार के आधार पर चुना जाता है। भारत में सांसदों के लिए सीटों की अधिकतम संख्या 550 है। और उनमें से, 530 सीटें विशेष रूप से भारतीय राज्यों में साझा की जाती हैं। और बाकी 20 सीटें भारत के केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों को समर्पित हैं। एंग्लो-इंडियन समुदाय के लिए हमेशा दो सीटें आरक्षित होती हैं। वर्तमान में लोकसभा की कुल संख्या 543 है।

1. पात्रता मानदंड।

लोकसभा में सांसद बनने के लिए उम्मीदवार को निम्नलिखित शर्तों को पूरा करना होगा –

भारतीय नागरिक होना चाहिए।
कम से कम 25 वर्ष की आयु।
किसी भी भारतीय संसदीय क्षेत्र का मतदाता।
किसी मान्यता प्राप्त राजनीतिक दल का उम्मीदवार।

सांसदों की जिम्मेदारी।

एक सांसद को कुछ सबसे प्रमुख जिम्मेदारियों को पूरा करना होता है:

संसद के निचले सदन में कानून पारित करना।
कार्यकारी या सरकारी कार्यों पर नजर रखना।
वे जिस निर्वाचन क्षेत्र का प्रतिनिधित्व करते हैं, वहां के लोगों के विचारों का दमन करते हैं।
सरकार द्वारा प्रस्तावित राजस्व की देखरेख करना।
मंत्रिपरिषद मुख्य रूप से सांसद होते हैं। इसलिए, उनके पास अतिरिक्त सत्तारूढ़ दल की जिम्मेदारियां और ताकतें हैं।

जो लोग चुनाव के लिए खड़े होते हैं, उन्हें आमतौर पर 25,000/- रुपये की सुरक्षा जमा राशि भरनी होती है और नियुक्ति के दिन से एक बार चुने जाने के बाद, उनका कार्यकाल पांच साल के लिए सदस्य के रूप में होता है। हालांकि, आपातकाल के समय में स्थिति बदल सकती है जब कार्यकाल एक और वर्ष के लिए बढ़ाया जा सकता है। इसलिए, वे एक बहुत ही जवाबदेह स्थिति को बनाए रखने में विफल रहते हैं जिसके परिणामस्वरूप लोगों के प्रति जवाबदेह होना पड़ेगा।
