एमपीसी (MPC) का फुल फॉर्म
भारत में ब्याज दरों के संबंध में प्रमुख निर्णय भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक द्वारा लिए गए थे, इसलिए इसने भारत सरकार और भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक के बीच संघर्ष को जन्म दिया। इस विवाद को सुलझाने के लिए एक समिति बनाई गई जिसका नाम एमपीसी यानी मौद्रिक नीति समिति रखा गया। एमपीसी का लक्ष्य मुद्रास्फीति को लक्ष्य के भीतर रखते हुए भारत में ब्याज दरें तय करना था। मौद्रिक नीति समिति का गठन एक वित्तीय वर्ष के दौरान 8 बार हुई भारतीय मौद्रिक नीति समिति की बेंचमार्किंग में जिम्मेदारी लाने के लिए किया गया था। एमपीसी साल 2016 में 27 जून को हरकत में आई थी। भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक के तीन सदस्य थे जो इस समिति के सदस्य थे और तीन सदस्य सरकार से थे। भारत की। आमतौर पर फैसला वोट डालकर लिया जाता है। हालाँकि, चूंकि छह सदस्य हैं, इसलिए एक टाई हो सकती है जिसमें भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक के गवर्नर जो समिति के अध्यक्ष हैं, को वोट देने का अधिकार है। मौद्रिक नीति समिति की बैठक के दौरान उन्होंने जिन दो सबसे महत्वपूर्ण चीजों का विश्लेषण किया वे हैं: 1) आर्थिक और मौद्रिक शर्तों के अनुसार भारत की स्थिति क्या थी? 2) कोई भी खतरा जो मुद्रास्फीति और आर्थिक गतिविधि को प्रभावित कर सकता है 06 अगस्त, 2021 की प्रेस विज्ञप्ति में, मौद्रिक नीति समिति ने नीति रेपो दर को 4% पर अपरिवर्तित रखने का निर्णय लिया। उन्होंने इसे अपरिवर्तित रखा क्योंकि वे समायोजनात्मक रुख को जारी रखना चाहते थे।
